Background
Nice sunny duplex condo in White Plains. Seller was in contract to purchase another residence. He wanted to sell this property quickly, and well.

Challenges
While committed to selling/moving, seller was still emotionally attached to decorating decisions he made over the years and was counting on buyers to see past his things, and appreciate the space. Condo market in WP was saturated at that time, and winter was coming.

Solution
Consults present sellers with specific ideas, and rationale behind it; then leave them to make their own best decisions. My recommendations were hard for him to hear, but after he followed my first suggestion-look online at other listings he knew what he had to do.

Results
Dear Marie – I loved the look of the apartment I lived in for 26 years, and YOU KNOW how I resisted the changes you suggested. But reluctantly I painted, and packed away most of my art. The result-raves from potential buyers, and most importantly a quick sale! Thank you for insisting! I have recommended you a number of times already
