What is worth? Instantaneously our head is full of thoughts and visions, usually reflective of recent, or powerful, milestones or circumstances.
What we-or someone else-paid…. or didn’t pay. How something mattered so deeply…or so little. Bottom line, our impressions of worth are wildly personal and usually, absolutely unshakable.
But worth, as an abstract is very different from worth when you’re negotiating something.
Worth is an opinion. So when we assign value to something, of course we’re right. But if it’s an interaction, so is the other person.
If you’re at an auction, you choose, best to go with your gut. When something interactive or collaborative on the table, being open to the others’ position gets to yes more quickly.
