Consults for a Cause goes back a ways. Originally a creative response to aid those affected by natural disasters; now, going forward, its part of TRH’s permanent model.
Consults for a Cause has a simple premise: Hire The Refreshed Home for a design or home staging consult. So, instead of paying me, you write a check for the designated charity.
- Each month (4) 2 hour consults will be available @ $390.
- You get the design/home staging help you want
- People in a tough place get a hand
- We’re all a little more connected in this world
- You get a receipt, and will have your cancelled check for tax purposes
All recipient charities will be 501c3, verified through Charity Navigator. Acknowledged, and widely praised as the nation’s top independent charity evaluator, they study and rate charities on their financial health, use of funds, and financial accountability.
September’s charity is All Hands and Hearts Smart Response for their outreach to those left behind, and facing rebuilding after the devastation of Hurricane Dorian. They specialize in long-term (2 yrs+) on the ground help to literally rebuild residential infrastructure. They spend almost 95 cents of every dollar for this work. (They are STILL on the ground in Texas, helping those hit by Harvey in 2017.)
Don’t need design help? Of course you can donate to them on your own! REALLY BIG NEWS: Through September, Norwegian Cruise Lines is matching all Hurricane Dorian relief donations, dollar for dollar.
